More information

This interactive course provides 6th grade students with an engaging introduction to the Earth, the Solar System, and the universe. Through a series of dynamic lessons and interactive tests, students will explore key concepts about natural resources, soil properties, and the movement of celestial bodies. The course will allow them to observe and model various phenomena, such as the movement of the Sun and the Moon, while understanding the Earth's position in space and the importance of natural resources.

Key Features of the Course:

  • Interactive Tests and Tasks: Students will actively engage in quizzes and activities designed to reinforce learning with immediate feedback.
  • Practical Exploration: Hands-on exercises help students model natural phenomena like the Earth's rotation and explore the features of the Solar System.
  • Real-world Connections: The course focuses on making connections between scientific concepts and their practical applications in everyday life, such as understanding the importance of soil and natural resources.

Course Modules:
Module 1: Learning about Earth and the Universe

  • Lesson 14: What are Natural Resources and How Do Humans Use Them?
    - Media Search, Exploration Activities.
  • Lesson 15: Why are Soils Valuable Natural Resources?
    - Media Search, Exploration Activities.
  • Lesson 16: How Humans Affect the Earth's Layers
    - Investigate, Media Search, Exploration Activities.
  • Lesson 17: What Do We Know About Earth's Neighbors in the Solar System?
    - Data on Planets, Fun Learning Activities, Exploration Tasks.
  • Lesson 18: Unlocking the Secrets of the Starry Sky
    - Tech Toolbox, Exploration Activities.
  • Lesson 19: Understanding the Universe and Its Exploration
    - Current Space Research, Exploration Activities.
  • Lesson 20: Learning About Space Exploration
    - Scientific References, Exploration Activities.

Expected Learning Outcomes:
Throughout this course, students will have the opportunity to observe and model scientific phenomena such as the movement of the Sun and the phases of the Moon. They will explore natural objects in their local environment (weather, bodies of water, and landforms) and study the Earth's materials. Students will also establish cause-and-effect relationships between objects and natural phenomena, for example, the connection between air temperature and precipitation. They will research the properties of Earth's layers and explain changes in the landscape while comparing data on the Earth, Sun, and Moon from various sources.
