This course focuses on the study of sentences with different structures and purposes. Students learn to identify homogeneous parts of a sentence, use various types of sentences in their own speech, and study texts of different types and styles. They learn to determine the topic and purpose of a text, create outlines, and construct texts of various types and styles.
The course aims to explore linguistic units and phenomena to gain basic linguistic knowledge, adhere to norms of literary pronunciation and Ukrainian spelling rules, and develop students' skills in using the Ukrainian language in all areas of life.
During the course, students will acquire the following skills:
- Correctly intonate and write sentences of different purposes and intonations.
- Identify the main and secondary parts of a sentence in simple cases.
- Establish connections between words in a sentence using questions, identify homogeneous parts of a sentence, and construct sentences with homogeneous parts, intonating and writing them correctly.
- Use different types of sentences and purposes to express their own thoughts and feelings.
- Identify the structural parts of a text.
- Formulate the topic and purpose of a text.
- Select a title that corresponds to the topic or main idea of the text.
- Create an outline for a text and build a text according to the given outline.
- Differentiate between types of texts (narration, description, argumentation, essay) and explain their purpose.
- Construct narratives, descriptions, arguments, and essays.
