The interactive course "Exploring the World. Grade 3" helps students become familiar with the fundamental concepts of inanimate nature and its impact on humans. The course features vivid illustrations, interactive tasks, and tests, making learning engaging and effective. Through this course, children explore important topics about human interaction with the environment and develop natural science competencies.
This course focuses on acquiring knowledge about living and non-living nature, basic ecological knowledge, mastering methods of educational and environmental activities, fostering a value-based attitude towards humans and nature, and expanding scientific understanding of the world.
By the end of the course, students will develop the following competencies:
- Differentiate and name inanimate and living objects created by humans.
- Identify sources of information about nature.
- Create a list of inanimate/living objects based on personal observations.
- Recognize inanimate and living objects in their environment and establish connections between them.
- Describe natural phenomena and express their impressions.
- Distinguish and use equipment for nature research.
- Identify in their surroundings inanimate objects and classify them based on specific characteristics (shape, color, state, etc.).
- Investigate materials such as clay, chalk, milk, air, or other inanimate objects and draw conclusions about their properties (color, state, hardness, transparency, fluidity, buoyancy, brittleness, granularity, etc.).
- Compare inanimate objects based on external characteristics or investigated properties.
- Investigate the properties of substances (water, iron, sugar, table salt, starch) according to instructions.
- Provide examples of water bodies, rocks, minerals, and their uses.
- Explain the significance of water in nature and the changes in its states.
- Understand the importance of rocks and minerals for human well-being and the need to protect water bodies and care for soil.
