Expected Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify and draw line segments of a given length and angles of a specified degree measure.
- Recognize geometric figures covered in the course, such as triangles, squares, and rectangles, and explain their key properties.
- Write and explain formulas for calculating the perimeter of various geometric shapes, as well as the area of rectangles and squares.
- Understand and explain terms such as line segment, ray, straight line, angle, triangle, square, rectangle, and congruent figures.
- Classify angles based on their degree measure, and classify triangles based on their angles and side lengths.
- Use a ruler, protractor, and set square to draw geometric shapes, measure angles, and place natural numbers on a coordinate ray.
- Understand units of measurement for length and angles, and be able to convert between them.
- Measure and calculate the length of line segments, angle sizes, and the perimeter and area of geometric shapes.
- Solve exercises related to calculating perimeters and areas of rectangles and squares.
- Analyze linear and bar graphs and apply this knowledge to solve problems.
- Solve real-world problems such as finding the perimeter and area of land plots or classroom floors.
This course not only strengthens fundamental geometric knowledge but also equips students with the skills to apply geometry in everyday situations. Through interactive learning tools, students will practice their skills, develop critical thinking, and gain a solid foundation in geometry that will benefit their future academic success.
