Ukrainian language Grade 3. Parts of speech. Part 1. Collection 1

The interactive course is designed for 3rd-grade students who want to improve their knowledge of the Ukrainian language. Thanks to the interactive format, learning becomes engaging and effective, allowing students to confidently master the material.

This course focuses on observing the nominative function of parts of speech in language. Students learn to distinguish between animate and inanimate nouns, as well as proper and common nouns. They also learn to determine the gender of nouns, change nouns according to number, and use them appropriately in their own speech. Additionally, they become familiar with parts of speech such as verbs, numerals, adjectives, and function words.

Through this course, students will:

• Identify different parts of speech in a text and independently choose appropriate ones, asking questions about them,
• Recognize nouns that name objectified actions and qualities,
• Distinguish between animate and inanimate nouns and ask appropriate questions,
• Know the difference between proper and common nouns,
• Write proper nouns with capital letters,
• Determine the gender of nouns,
• Change nouns according to number,
• Use nouns appropriately in their own speech.

The course consists of the following sections:

Section 1. Learn more about nouns

• Distinguish between animate and inanimate nouns,
• Distinguish between proper and common nouns,
• Write proper nouns with capital letters,
• Identify nouns formed from verbs and adjectives,
• Determine the gender of nouns,
• Change nouns according to number,
• Learn about nouns that don’t change by number.

Section 2. Explore adjectives

• Identify adjectives,
• Establish the connection between adjectives and nouns,
• Change adjectives by number,
• Change adjectives by gender,
• Determine gender endings of adjectives,
• Enrich your speech with adjectives.

Section 3. Identify numerals

• Recall numerals,
• Pronounce and write numerals correctly,
• Read numerical expressions correctly.

Section 7. Learn more about verbs

• Identify verbs,
• Correctly write verbs ending in -ться, -шся,
• Distinguish between verb tenses,
• Change verbs by tense,
• Write “не” with verbs correctly,
• Establish the connection between verbs and nouns,
• Choose antonyms and synonyms for verbs.

Section 8. Identify function words

• Recall function words,
• Recognize prepositions,
• Distinguish between parts of speech.
